Who We Are

The Attic is the student ministry of Grace Covenant Church and is open to 7th-12th graders. We are made up of students from northwest Austin and several surrounding communities. Our mission is to develop students with sharp minds, tender hearts and moldable wills—to impact the world with the truth and love of Jesus Christ.
 
In-Up-Out is an easy way to describe where we are headed as a youth group and how we are training each other to live our lives.

• IN: Connecting with Each Other

Relationships are vital to everyone, especially students. The Attic wants to be the sort of place where students and youth workers can connect with each other and learn what it means to have biblical, Christian relationships where we love, laugh and live together. Following Jesus is not something we are meant to do alone; we all need the support of friends and mentors.

• UP: Communing with God

What if a student could not only know about God but could actually be close to Him? The Attic is committed to helping teens develop an ever-deepening relationship with Christ. We do that by participating in Bible study, prayer, singing, Scripture memory, silence and other spiritual disciplines.

• OUT: Caring for the World

Following Jesus is more than connecting with Christians and being close to God. It includes serving people around us. The Attic encourages students to live with a missional mindset and to make a difference no matter where they are: in class, at home, on the team, at church, with friends, on a missions trip, in the neighborhood and at work.
