Vision Point #2:
Become women, both individually and corporately, who learn to enjoy God's Word, love His presence and look more like Jesus every day.
Description of Vision:
As women, it is our desire to not only make a difference, but to be different! What would it look like if we truly lived like Jesus would live if Jesus were us? How would our thinking change? Our words? Our actions? Our lifestyle? Our choices? If you're just dabbling in the faith or a new believer—how exciting! God longs to take you on the journey of a lifetime! And if you’re a seasoned Christian, what could be more exciting than to say "From this day forward, I'm going to make intentions to live like Jesus lived while on this earth."
Our vision is to see women truly transform into the image and nature of Jesus Christ! Nothing small about that. Perhaps you have struggled with your own character issues for years, even decades, seeing little change. Maybe you've gone through a horrific divorce or some other life-altering change. Whether you deal with anger, gossip, pride, comparison or anxiety, change is possible! No matter what, there is good news! You CAN experience significant growth in your Christian walk, let go of sinful habits, and increasingly take on the character of Christ.
Will you take up the challenge? Be ready for the ride of your life!
Opportunities:
- Start with becoming connected with a group of women studying God's Word. It is here where you begin to grow….having an opportunity to receive powerful biblical teaching and engaging discussion with others in a small group!
- Serve! You can't serve in God's Kingdom without experiencing spiritual transformation. The more you're involved in things that "could never be done without Christ," the more you'll see God change you!
- Initiate! Look for other women who want to truly see spiritual transformation happen! Engage in dialogues about life, change and spiritual disciplines. Pray with others. Ask for accountability in seeing God make lasting changes in your life. You can't do the Christian life solo!
- Soul Care Opportunities: Download a Soul Care Guide for you to do on your own personal retreat. Click 'Soul Care' to be linked to the different guides available.
- READ! Part of spiritual health is having the time it takes to grow. If you want to be physically healthy, you probably make certain intentions to do so … exercise, eat right, get adequate sleep. The same is true for our spiritual journey. Are you challenged to go further in your spiritual journey? So often, it may start with a good book! See below for ideas.
