Matt Henke

Pastor of Adult Education

Matt grew up at Grace and served as a youth intern during college. After attending graduate school he returned in 2003 to join the staff as a full-time pastor. He currently provides leadership among adults. This includes developing leaders and curriculum for our Adult Communities. Also, he enjoys overseeing our marriage mentoring program that helps prepare, repair, and maximize marriages. And it’s a pleasure for him to serve alongside his small group in leading the Young Families class. From time to time he is known to host trips to Israel. Matt received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Texas. And he received a Master of Theology in Pastoral Ministries and New Testament from Dallas Theological Seminary. Believe it or not he also has several years experience working as a service technician in laundries and dry-cleaners.

Matt is an avid reader, but he particularly enjoys getting outside to fish, camp, hunt, or use his power tools. He and his wife, Lisa, have six children...yes, we’re done.
