Prayer Chain
About the Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain is the spiritual alarm system which communicates and takes prayerful action on the needs of the congregation, community and global needs. This network of people who are committed to prayer on behalf of the congregation on Jesus’ words to "ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened," (Matthew 7:7). The importance of the prayer chain is that it faithfully intercedes on behalf of others in need by lifting up specific requests, concerns and emergency situations. All prayer requests submitted to the prayer chain are held in strict confidentiality.
How to Submit a Prayer Request
Prayer requests for the prayer chain can be submitted either on the tear-off flap of the Sunday morning bulletins (check the “submit to prayer chain” box) or by contacting Kari in the Care Department directly at karis@gccaustin.org.
How to join the Prayer Chain Team
If you are interested in being part of our Prayer Chain team, please contact Kari (xtn 465) or Pastor Robin Wieber (xtn 458). Those who apply to participate are approved by the Pastoral staff and then start receiving weekly email updates of prayer requests that come in to be posted to the Prayer Chain.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
