 Marriage Mentoring
It can’t be overstated that marriage is one of the most significant decisions one will ever make in life. Itt has the potential to be the most enriching and satisfying part of your life. But it’s also important to recognize that marriage doesn’t just happen. The marriage relationship has to be cultivated and encouraged.
To help you down that path, we have developed a marital mentoring ministry for couples in all stages of the relationship: pre-engagement, pre-marital, and marital.
We have found that the best way to help couples prepare for marriage or build-up an existing relationship is to pair them with mature married couples. These couples have been trained and offer wise counsel from years of experience in marriage.
Through seven sessions, they will help you develop the building blocks of a healthy marriage. Using various resources and assessment tools, you will discover a lot about your significant other, yourself, and God’s role in deepening your relationship with one another.
The Process
- Each individual answers the “Questionnaire & Background Check-up”
- Each individual completes the TJTA and the Prepare/Enrich assessments.
- After review, the couple is paired with a mentor couple. They meet together for seven sessions. Couples are encouraged to take 3-4 months to complete these sessions; this allows you time to:
1) reflect on the material and complete the assignments
2) build a relationship with your mentor couple.
Maximizing Marriages
Grace not only values those who want to get grounded before starting, but also those that feel the need to build-up their existing marriage. We use some of the same tools for pre-marital couples as well as additional tools designed specially for married couples.
