Connecting with Each Other & God
Recently, one of our pastors was praying with a man. "Who else can be praying with you about this need in your life?" the pastor asked. "I don't have anyone," the man replied.
All alone: maybe that's how you feel. At Grace Covenant, there are people who want to join you in community. Or, perhaps this story touches your heart. Do you want to be available for others? Either way, our "Connections" small-group ministry is for you!
Make Connections with us this fall!
Next Connections session begins Wed, Sept. 10 6:30-8:00pm
All in Grace360 Building, Room 201
Childcare available in the Cornerstone Building
Free nursery/toddler care :: Awana program for children age three or older
Grace’s newest small-group program—started just last fall—is designed to provide a great way to get involved in the community life of Grace Covenant. It features insights into the previous Sunday sermon and gives us more to think about as we continue through our week.
People making "Connections" on Wednesday evenings meet first as a big group. Senior Pastor Matt Cassidy shares thoughts he couldn’t include in his sermon. The group also enjoys a time of interaction with Matt and then we break into small groups for more discussion of the topic. Some groups are co-ed; others have an emphasis on training. Some men have combined two ministry programs, considering their "Connections" small group a Men's Ministry "core group" where they can build strong bonds with other men. Women’s groups are also available. We want groups to stay small enough to retain a close-knit feel, so some groups may close after the second or third time. If you feel God's calling to get involved, come join us; we'll find a group for you!
Childcare is available for our "Connections" meetings. We offer childcare for infants and young toddlers. (Children over the age of three, as of September 1, 2008, are old enough to be in our Wednesday night Awana clubs. Our "Cubbies" club is for preschoolers. Children in kindergarten through second grade move up to "Sparks," and "Truth in Training" is for children in grades 3 through 6.
Already in a small group? Terrific! You’ve already achieved the goal of Connections. But we also welcome existing small groups who see Connections as an opportunity to build a larger group.
